The genius of our valve cup is that you don't have to remove the cup to empty it. Simply pinch the stem's valve whilst sitting on the toilet to release the Menstrual Fluid. No need to worry about emptying the cup when traveling or in public places. I bought two valve cups and one of them is not cut properly, so the valve hole is on the side of the inverted V instead of at the top of the v.

I think it’s a great product made to a high quality. It’sa bit on the large side though. I’m on my forties and haven’t given birth. I’ve used menstrual cups for about six years and I use a medium sized cup for the first three days and then a small cup for the last few days. The flowette cup of larger than both of my previous cups, so it can be more difficult to use and less comfortable.
I’ve managed to use the valve to drain a little of the fluid but I’ve not emptied fully. I think it works better when in place as your body holding it in place helps it to work (I first tried with water over the sink as test of how best to squeeze the valve)
I'm so pleased with this cup, I have very heavy periods and this cup makes things so much easier for me. It holds quite a lot more than my previous Mooncup and the material is much softer and more flexible. The larger size means it fits around my cervix so I get hardly any leakage, but it is actually more comfortable than the Mooncup, which was smaller. The valve sometimes doesn't work if there are clots in it, but when it does work it's a bonus, meaning I can go longer between emptying, very convenient when out or at work.
